- Is Gmail Chats a new email client?
- No. Gmail remains the source of truth. Gmail Chats is a Chrome extension that adds a chat-style interface on top of Gmail.
- Do you store my emails on your servers?
- No. Email body, subject, snippets, and attachment binary are not stored on the Gmail Chats backend. Email content is handled locally in your browser and through Gmail API.
- Do replies still go through Gmail?
- Yes. Replies are sent through Gmail and remain in the original email thread.
- Can I still use Gmail normally?
- Yes. Gmail Chats is an overlay. You can turn it on or off and continue using Gmail as usual.
- What happens after the trial?
- After the 7-day trial, active Pro access is required. If you do not subscribe, Gmail Chats shows a paywall. You can upgrade anytime during the trial — no card required to start.
- Why do I need to connect Gmail?
- The extension needs Gmail API access to read your threads, build local chats, show labels, and send replies through Gmail.
